To fulfil our vision, constant research is important. Our database contributes to that, and you and your dog are a key to this success.

Because a Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) test is complete, the data will continue to be relevant in the future. This makes it possible to build a treasure chest of information. This database can be of great importance and value for non-mutation breeding in the future and today's patient.
The data we generate through WGS can therefore be used in a self-learning system where the newly generated knowledge in the database ensures that we get better and better at pure line breeding and preventive care of the dog.
Another advantage of WGS is that for both the treating vet and the animal owner, there is assurance that everything has been tested and that no data has been missed.
Research and experience also show that many pet owners are often worried about whether they are getting the right tests for their dog. If they get WGS then it gives a lot of peace of mind, they feel that "everything has been tested".

The more data, the better you can predict. PetGenoma is therefore also contributing to further research.
The database created by PetGenoma is a very valuable container of information for various scientific studies. For this reason, we are always open to collaborating or contributing to clinical trials and scientific research.
The current different gene panel tests cannot be compared properly because they are only partly overlapping. The results can therefore be much more difficult to use together for research. This is why PetGenoma is also your partner in further research.
We also try to cooperate as much as possible with breeders' associations, sometimes also European or even worldwide because that way we collect a lot of data in a group at once and can use it again for matching dogs or breeding programmes.
